Inside Kolroy’s Fashion Week (Yes, It Was Our Best Yet)

We wanted to share our feelings about this Fashion Week for the first time. Even though those of you with the premium pass already got a few insights through the two vlogs we released during last June’s Fashion Week.
At Kolroy, we’re very discreet. We don’t really like putting ourselves forward. For the record, we used to refuse absolutely every meeting even professional ones so no one actually knew what we looked like.
And then, at some point, we changed our mindset. We realized we were missing something. We couldn’t stay stuck in our corner forever. So we decided to open up a bit more. I’m talking about it now, but this shift actually started a few years ago.
This Fashion Week was special for us because it’s the one where we met the most people, talked the most, connected the most. We decided to open up even more and we don’t regret it at all.
Personally, I had just come back from Vietnam. I landed and, the very same day (which I absolutely do NOT recommend, I was completely exhausted), I met Alex, the co-founder of the 0fr bookstore. We had an appointment to organize a last-minute event during Fashion Week.
DAY 1 - Stepping into Fashion Week : Village PM & On
The next day, Fashion Week officially kicked off. First thing in the morning, we started with our friends from Village PM.
We already knew Village PM. I had even met Bram (co-founder) before the brand officially existed. He showed me the project back then, I loved the shoes, but I honestly didn’t expect such an explosive start for them.
I mainly talked with Basile (co-founder), who walked me through the new collection and explained the pressure of releasing a brand-new model after the success of their first one.
But once again, it looks like the mission is accomplished for Village PM. Seeing the pair on foot, it immediately made sense even though they were still samples and some details will evolve.
We posted the latest Village PM pairs, the feedback was extremely positive. People loved them. Village PM is clearly staying on a great path.

We quickly went back to the office to deal with the pile of emails we had received and needed to send for Fashion Week, then headed to the On showroom.
I went alone to meet my friend @taaaaaakurai, who works on collaborations, he’s notably involved in all the projects between PAF and On.
It was great seeing him again. We talked a bit about holidays he was in Brazil, I was in Vietnam but mostly about products.
We noticed that things have changed at On. They’re leaning more into lifestyle this season, wanting to explore new directions : mule collaborations with FKA Twigs, cover boots… things that really break away from the classic On shape.
I discovered the latest PAF collaboration, which I thought was cool, but I still believe their very first collaboration together remains the strongest one to date.

I got home, it was already evening. Still a lot to manage : posting, emails, everything in between. I went to sleep.
DAY 2 - From 0fr to JLAL, a packed day
Early morning, Wednesday January 21st. I had a meeting with 0fr to shoot the video for the event we were organizing together.
The concept was simple : 0fr opens a pop-up during Fashion Week with a selection of magazines and books, some of them several years old. If you came through Kolroy, you could get a Purple Magazine for 10€ or -50% on 0fr editions, for example.
The goal : making culture more accessible to everyone.
Once the shoot was done, I had to rush to meet someone from the team. We had several appointments, including one with Satisfy to see the new collection.
Tommy welcomed us, he’s been with Satisfy since the very beginning. He shared stories about the brand we didn’t know and showed us his favorite piece : the Puffer, a first for Satisfy, by the way.
We focused on the Moth Tech tees and the new visuals. They’re really strong. That mix of running tee, rock energy, and vintage US T-shirt vibes really speaks to us.
Time to head back, a lot of work waiting. Posting, emails… and we were also trying to get access to the Kiko show scheduled for Saturday. Not our first attempt, we’d tried every previous season without success. Maybe this time would be the one ?
More meetings followed, I’ll spare you the details until the evening, when JLAL’s show took place. An event we absolutely didn’t want to miss, especially since we had backstage access.
The three of us went. We saw rehearsals, music tests, and immediately focused on the shoes. JLAL and Puma continue their collaboration on the Cell. It instantly gave me strong football shoe vibes. I love the honeycomb texture it also reminded me of the Nike Zvezdochka in terms of energy. Honestly, the pair really spoke to me, especially the white colorway.

We went deeper backstage, held the pair in hand, took proper photos, and then the show started. Unfortunately, the lighting didn’t allow us to share it properly in a post, but we truly enjoyed the show.
We ended the night at a small Haven gathering, a chance to preview pieces and enjoy the space.
I was completely drained. I went home and slept.
DAY 3 - Jetlag + Timeless Prada Inspirations
5 a.m. I woke up before my alarm. Jet lag was still hitting. This Fashion Week was about to be long…very long.
I met another team member in the 3rd arrondissement. In the morning, we had an appointment with Samsara, a footwear brand from Barcelona.
The welcome was super warm. The founder shared his journey, inspirations, and especially the materials used including cork. The brand is still young, but aesthetically, the products are really strong. A great discovery.
We had to leave right away : Haven, then Diemme, then Hiking Patrol…
Diemme’s collection immediately caught our attention. On many models, we couldn’t help but see references to late-90s / early-2000s Prada.
It’s impressive how much Prada’s archives still influence footwear today. In any case, Diemme’s Fall 2026 collection is really interesting many pairs we could see ourselves wearing, and a lot of you loved them too.
We were about to take a break and grab food when we randomly ran into Lim, founder of Postarchivefaction, waiting for his taxi.
Of course, he didn’t know what we looked like, we like to stay low-key, so we introduced ourselves as Kolroy. He immediately invited us to visit the showroom.
It wasn’t planned. We originally wanted to keep the surprise for the PAF show, since we were invited, but we couldn’t refuse.
We toured the showroom, and honestly, we instantly fell in love with the new collection. We must have stayed there for at least an hour and a half, trying everything.
Coats, fur jackets, shoes, belts we loved it all. Without a doubt, one of the best PAF collections we’ve seen so far.
Then it was finally time to eat and head back to the office. Emails, scheduling appointments, rescheduling them, posting content at the same time : it’s a real job and it takes time.
It was already Thursday, and the Kiko show was on Saturday. Still no news. It wasn’t looking good…
In the evening, Martin Sallieres presented his new collection, new colorways of his previous model and a brand-new one that also gave us Prada-like energy.
Warm atmosphere, drinks, good vibes. Big congrats to Martin once again, releasing such a strong product independently is impressive.
We continued with a Mizuno party, music, cool people. At Kolroy, we’ve definitely stopped hiding.
Late night. We had to post the video announcing our event with 0fr. I slept.
DAY 4 - 1000 People for Kolroy x 0fr & Vexed Generation come back after 20 years
Up again at 5 a.m. before my alarm. I was already exhausted and the day hadn’t even started.
The videos for our 0fr event were doing really well, messages kept coming in. I could tell it was going to be crowded.
The event started at 10 a.m., and I planned to stop by after my first appointment with Gander, a British brand. Great quality products, all made in Manchester, love to see it.
Before heading to 0fr, I met my friend Jeongli, who was presenting his new collection. As always, I loved it, subtle greys, and especially a leather jacket that was absolutely beautiful. It was refreshing to see this from Jeongli.

In the same showroom, Vexed Generation was presenting a new collection after 20 years of absence.
I spoke with Joe and Adam, the founders. It was fascinating to better understand the brand’s origins, rooted in very concrete issues like the rise of surveillance cameras in the UK in the late ’90s. That’s one of the reasons Vexed pieces often cover the face.
It was already late when I stopped by 0fr. The pop-up was packed. People digging through books, students from the Duperré fashion school arriving, the place was overflowing. I think we pulled it off.

That afternoon, I met Merrell to discover the new collection. Some really cool things are coming, including the return of archive pieces. The collaboration with Harris Tweed was especially interesting, it brings a more premium feel.
In the evening, Alex texted me : 1000 people.
Yes…1000 people came between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to the pop-up through Kolroy on day one.
I knew people would show up, but 1000 in 8 hours ?
I couldn’t believe it.
DAY 5 - Snobbery at reception, Magic in the showroom
I finally woke up to my alarm, what a luxury.
Only downside : the Kiko show is today…and still no news. It was over.
In the morning, we met Ranra, probably one of the very first brands we ever shared on Kolroy, back when it was still called Arnar Már Jónsson.
We arrived at a stunning building, marble columns, red carpet, the whole thing.
At reception, we quickly realized it was a large Italian multi-brand showroom.
We were there for Ranra, but we were constantly being questioned, looked at with suspicion almost like intruders. There was something a bit snobbish in the air. Exactly the kind of place we usually try to avoid.

Once we reached the Ranra showroom, everything changed.
Warm welcome, amazing experience.
Testing the pieces, feeling the materials, pure pleasure.
Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful collections we’d seen so far. The color palette really resonated with us. I don’t even know how long we stayed, it was a treat.
We continued with several appointments, ending with Strongthe an emerging brand we’d followed for a while but never met in person.
It was very different from what we’re used to : bold cuts, patterns, unique details. The bags were beautiful, and the snake pants had an incredibly interesting cut.

In the evening, there was a Hoka party another chance to meet people, talk. At Kolroy, we’ve officially become social.
DAY 6 - PAF Runway
A big day : Postarchivefaction presented their Fall 2026 collection. We couldn’t wait to see the showroom pieces on the runway.
We arrived at the venue and immediately saw a piano, that’s when we understood the musical notes on the invitation.

We sat down, the pianist started playing, the models came out. The show was stunning.
No time to stay for the PAF exhibition, back to the office. You know the drill. A lot of work.
In the evening, I get a text from Alex at 0fr telling me “+2000.”
Yes…we brought more than 2000 people to the event over the weekend.
We’re incredibly happy it attracted that many people. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
Tonight, we’re going to sleep well.
DAY 7 - Fashion Week Finale : Exhausted but Inspired
Last major day of Fashion Week.
Honestly, I was relieved considering my level of exhaustion but at the same time, I loved every conversation, every creative we met, every beautiful thing we saw. It all went by way too fast.
First appointment was with Gizmo, founder of CMMAWEAR. We’d talked on Instagram but never met in real life, perfect timing.
Gizmo welcomed us warmly, showed us the latest collection, and literally dressed us. Trying on the pieces felt amazing. CMMAWEAR just feels right on the body.
Given the materials, it makes sense, many pieces are made in Italy and Japan. He also told me about their workshop in South Korea, where a full team develops everything from A to Z. Watching the brand grow so fast is impressive.
Next, we met my friend Alessandro, founder of Tondolo a brand I originally discovered on the Kolroy forum (which we really need to revive).
Nature is a huge inspiration in his work. The pieces feel very artisanal countless hours go into making them. We had a real soft spot for the gloves.
No time to stay too long, the showroom was closing. We headed to see our friend Luca Hamers, an English designer with a very strong, unique universe. Ultra-advanced techwear.
We’ve followed him since the very beginning of Kolroy, so finally meeting him after all these years felt great.
We continued hopping from appointment to appointment, ending at the showroom of our friend Jonathan Choe, founder of FFFPostalservice.
Fun fact : it was the very first brand we ever met in person. Seeing how far it’s come is wild.
The collection was incredibly complete. A few days earlier, they had presented their very first runway show in Paris, huge milestone.
We were exhausted, but seeing all those jackets, pants, colors, details, and cuts gave us a real boost of energy.
On top of that, they launched footwear for the first time with an interesting lacing system that extends far over the vamp. Something we’re seeing more and more in footwear right now.

It was a perfect way to close this Fashion Week.
Talking with creators, understanding their vision and inspirations is always deeply enriching. And maybe this sounds a bit egotistical, but it feels good to see how much Kolroy resonates with so many people. It’s incredibly motivating to keep pushing this project forward.
A big thank you as well to Knosion, TAE Global, Juuntaekim, and everyone else it was a pleasure meeting you and discovering your collections.
